A Visit with Nanny and Poppy

We just got back from Nova Scotia yesterday. What a whirlwind couple of weeks! After a two week stay, my cousin, Eva, and her boyfriend, Harm, left to go home to Holland a day after we left to go to Halifax. Scott's beloved Uncle Buster passed away 1 1/2 weeks ago after a somewhat short battle with Lou Gherig's disease(ALS). We flew up to Halifax to be at his parent's side and hopefully bring some love and support into their house. Well I think Brody and Sienna did a very good job of that. Nanny and Poppy were extremely happy to see them...and us of course too! We did get out a little bit as well and visited the Halifax waterfront a few times as well as Lawrencetown Beach and Nanny and Poppy's pool!

Respectfully our hearts and prayers go out to everyone affected by the passing of Uncle Buster, he was a great man and will be greatly missed.

Lawrencetown Beach was windy, but beautiful! There were even some kite-surfers to see. Brody and I took our shoes off and ran across the beach and in the water. We had a nice afternoon here!

Camping

We ventured out on a camping trip last weekend with the tent trailer and my cousin Eva and Harm. We only went two nights, but it was perfect! Good trial run and we'll definitely do this again. Brody had a blast and Sienna was a little angel!! Eva and Harm also enjoyed the mountain fresh air and the nightly smores over the campfire!

Max had a blast too, he got to swim in the pond and run around the forest.

My Dutch Family

My family is here visiting from Holland. We went to Elbow Falls with my cousin Eva and her boyfriend Harm. It was awesome! Sienna in the snugli and Brody in the backpack! It is so beautiful up there, it's always nice to visit. Then we had my aunt and uncle come over in the evening with my parents and Ralph and Hayden (Kara unfortunately had to work). A bunch of us got in the hot tub with some drinks...it was a blast! Even the boys got to come in the hot tub for the first time!!

Sienna's Baptism

Sienna's Baptism was on Sunday and she did very well! She also looked beautiful in her baptism gown that was passed down from my mom and actually made out of her wedding gown!!

Getting Out

We try to get out lots. It just takes a little longer to get everything together with two! But it is

definitely do-able and super nice for me to get out! We went to Heritage Park with Oma.

Brody and Sienna

Brody has taken quite a liking to his new little sister! He has been awesome... He is still learning that she is too small to do most things he does. He wants her to sit next to him in the cart at Superstore for example. Mommy is supposed to take her out of the car seat and put her next to him, but he doesn't understand that she can't sit up. Or he gets his shoes after lunch to play outside and wants shoes for Sienna so she can come too. He will also pick up her monitor when she is crying and walk around talking into it like a phone, saying "okay Nenna, it's okay", priceless! He is adorable with her! He loves to give her kisses and hugs and so far has only hit her once...he wanted to know what would happen so tried it out, and quickly looked at Mommy and Daddy knowing it was wrong. He hasn't tried it since, but they are siblings....so it's only a matter of time I suppose! So far so good...I love our little family!!! Time flies though...I can't believe she is almost a month old! It's seems like she was only born a couple of days ago. I guess that's what happens when you have more than one. We really have to stop and make sure we take time to enjoy it now! They will be grown before you know it!

IT'S A GIRL!! Introducing...Sienna Roseline Gale

We waited and waited, and now she is here, 8 days early!! It's a girl...we are ecstatic...she is beautiful! Sienna Roseline was born Friday, June 6 at 5:04pm. She weighed 7 lbs 3 oz and was 20.8" long. We are all doing good at home and enjoying very moment. Brody is a proud big brother and protecting her already.

Baby Shower, Sunday May 25

Amy Astle hosted an awesome baby shower for me on Sunday, May 25. I had lots of fun with everyone that was there. We played some fun new games, baby was spoiled with gifts and there was plenty of yummy treats as well as a very good cake!! The pictures speak for themselves!! Kara was the photographer, and she did a very good job!! Thanks to everyone that was a part of my shower!!
