Brody's Baptism

We had Brody baptized on December 31st at St. Peter's. He was a little angel and didn't even cry once! He quite enjoyed the water, I think he thought it was bath time. We were all very proud of him, including his Godparents Rene and Amy.

Christmas Dinner

We all had dinner at Oma and Opa's on Christmas Day. Scott's parents, us, Ralph, Kara and Hayden and Kara's family. It was nice to be with such a large group of family. We were all dressed up, including little Brody. He looked so cute in his little sweater vest!

Daddy and Brody both got Flames jerseys from Mommy for Christmas...yay!!! Go Flames Go!

Brody visits Santa

Proud Daddy showing off Brody...Nanny and Poppie arrived today and we all went to Northland Mall to visit Santa. Brody was all dressed up, but slept through the entire thing. Although he took a very cute picture, even while sleeping, he never even got to see Santa, maybe next year!!

Look what we got for Christmas!!

I don't think there could be a better present under the tree than little Brody. We are very lucky!! He is such a cutie and so tolerant of Mommy and Daddy's picture taking! He is a very good baby...so far!

Growing into Daddy's Feet

At the rate Brody is growing he just might catch up to have the same big feet as his Daddy!! Don't you just love those little toes?!!

Just Hangin' Out

I'm 1 month old today!! Brody weighs in at just over 9lbs now and is 21" long, I can't believe how much he has grown. He is really checking things out now.His eyes are open a lot more as he takes in his surroundings. He is very content to just hang out and look around.

I Love my Swing!

Brody loves to be in his swing. He looks around at everything and tries to figure out what he sees. Now he likes to stare at the Christmas tree!

Me & My Mama

I love my little man...I think he is the cutest ever...but I am a little biased!! He is showing off his Dutch duds here, his "Family Tree" outfit from Holland.

Brody and Max

Brody likes to hang out with Max. And Max loves to give Brody kisses!! They will grow up to be good buddies, getting in trouble together I'm sure! Max has become a lot more protective of the house since Brody has been here too, he wants to protect his future ball throwing buddy!

My First Bath

Monday night Brody had his first bath. He cried a little to start, but as soon as his tiny little bum cheeks touched the warm water he was quiet. He loved it!! Dad was taking pictures and Oma was there for moral support. He still loves his bath time and sits quite contently while he is washed.

We're Going Home!

Sunday we finally got to go home! We had to stay in the hospital a little longer for both of us. Brody was a little jaundice and had to undergo light therapy Saturday night and I was still recovering from the 2 hour post-delivery surgery required to stitch me up. I was still feeling a little under the weather considering, but was extremely happy to go home and be with the rest of our family...Max, Lucy and Daisy!

It's a boy!

Thursday, November 16, 2006....Brody Henk Thomas Gale is born at 7:57am. Our beautiful baby boy arrived 2 days after his due date. My contractions started Tuesday evening at 11:45pm, so it was a bit of a long haul. We got sent home from the hospital twice, which was a little frustrating, especially since I was experiencing back labour...ouch! The third time we went back at 3:30am on Thursday morning and I was in active labour already for a while. I experienced the entire delivery drug-free, and although it was tough at times, Scott was there to help me through it. I couldn't have done it without him! What a beautiful moment when Scott and I watched him enter our world!! He was 6lbs 14 oz and 51cm long. Just a few precious minutes old here...

Today is the day before our due date...we are still anxiously waiting for Droppie to arrive!! Everything is ready. When will he/she come?
