Princess Ballerina

Sienna starts ballet class today. She was super excited to get her ballet outfit and shoes, made her feel like a real princess ballerina! I can't wait to see her jumping around with the other little ballerinas! How cute!

First Day of School

I can't believe the day has come so soon...my little baby boy is going to school! Today was his first official day of Kindergarten. WOW...time goes by so fast! Brody has grown into such a little man with a big personality and an even bigger heart! He is a super energetic and social kid and has the sweetest soul. I love him to pieces and couldn't be more proud!

SUMMERTIME

Fun at the Carnival!

We went to the carnival today, set up at Deerfoot Mall. The kids had a blast. They went on all the rides together, because Sienna is tall enough to join her brother now!

Brody was such a good big brother...making sure not to leave his little sister behind. He helped her across the bridge in the "Giant Slide" ride. Held her hand when she was a little afraid!


He is seriously such a "cool dude", sliding down sideways....

The mini rollercoaster was by far Sienna's favorite. She was giggling and screaming the entire time. With a HUGE grin on her face. She liked it so much she went a second time!

Mama had to get in on the fun too! I LOVE rides, but can`t stomach a lot of them now that I`m older. This one was super fast...and the kids loved it (me too!!)

A short break to fill up on some yummy french fries!

And right back to the rides!!

We had lots of fun! Can't wait till Calaway Park is open!!

Easter Monday at the Zoo

Easter Monday, a day off work, beautifully warm and sunny, 4 kids, Oma, and Mommy and Daddy, all a perfect combo for...a ZOO day!!! As always the kids had a blast with their cousins and enjoyed time with Oma and all the zoo animals.

Sleepover at Oma and Opa's

While the parents (and Opa) had a night out to go see Tiesto live, the kids spent the night at Oma and Opa's. They love to spend time together and it shows!

Brody and Sienna had to dress up for their friend Neve's Princess Bday party last weekend. Sienna was right in her element. She LOVES to be a princess....

Brody said he was going as the Prince Knight...to protect all the princesses...

Snow Fun In Spring!

A fun day in the snow on our 2nd week into Spring. This is Calgary....and we make the most of it!! The kids wanted to build a snowman, so I had to figure out the snowman building skills..

Destructo Brody decided Mr Frosty had been around long enough...all of 1 hour...him and Daddy decided to take him apart and throw pieces of him to Max!

Sienna didn't want any part of it...she wanted back inside!!

Max on the other hand was pretty excited to chase snowball pieces of Mr. Frosty.

Hopefully that is the last snoman of the year.....we are all looking forward to playing in the sunshine in our shorts and shirts!!

Cousins

We had a "girls" day last weekend. The boys went to the car show and the girls went to the mall. Kara had to work unfortunately, but Olivia and Sienna got in some good quality cousin time in! Sienna read Olivia some books at Oma's house.

Then we went to the mall for some ice cream and play time!

After all that, the girls needed a nap on the way home! Hopefully the boys had as much fun as we did!!
Sleeping Princesses......

Reading Time

Brody has a new bed. It's a low loft bed. I created a space underneath and we added a bookshelf and a couple bean bag chairs. All I need to add is a cool wall lamp (like those ones at IKEA, the moon or star) and it will be complete! This has become our new bed time reading hang out...


The kids love it! And this morning I could hear them hustling about before we were out of bed. I tip-toed out of our room and could hear them in Brody's. I peaked through the crack of his door and the two of them were sitting here, both in their own bean bag chairs having a little morning chat between brother and sister...sooo cute! Too bad I didn't have a camera handy!

Skating

Sienna's first time skating! She did not too bad...was able to walk a few steps on her skates and glide on them holding onto us. Brody had fun too testing the skills he learned in his skating classes last year. Still lots of falling on bums..but all in all a good time!

Our family day skate was a thumbs up success!!
