Day at Oma's

Brody loves his days with Oma! Oma often takes him for the day. They play, sing, laugh and even go swimming sometimes. This particular day Brody was enthralled with Nakita, Oma and Opa's dog. They were having a great time! Brody kept getting her a few pieces of food and feeding her, and then going back to get more.

Easter in Edmonton 2008

We visited Brody's cousins Cailey and Ethan again for Easter and the kids had a blast! Brody had fun trying to keep up in the morning Easter egg hunt and was intrigued by everything that was going on. he had fun picking up eggs, but had to take a break when he found a tiny rock on the floor and said "dirty" and proceeded to stop everything, pick it up and put it in the garbage. Only then could he continue with his egg hunt. He was pretty excited to find out the big eggs had little eggs inside too! The kids also had fun outside, going for rides in Ethan's new Jeep, playing street hockey and jumping in puddles. Brody had to borrow some oversized clothes and rubber boots from Ethan, because we didn't exactly bring 'puddle splashing' clothes!! All in all it was a great weekend! Scott even got turkey!!

Prenatal Yoga....Karate?

+

= Fun Times!!

So I have signed up for prenatal yoga and had my second class last night. It is awesome. I did two full sessions of prenatal yoga when I was pregnant with Brody too, only then I had some friends to go with (Amy and Jenn). I definitely miss that this time around, but it is still sooooo good to go. I feel great after and it really stretches out ALL my tight muscles (pretty much my entire body)...feels amazing! But I seriously cannot help but laugh when we are getting into final relaxation pose after a 1 1/2 hour class and the yoga instructor is really trying to get all us preggers to relax....so I try my best to let go of the day, let my mind wander off, and sink into deep relaxation...when BAM! baby decides to start a karate class...every time! And seriously I am laying inclined on my back and you can SEE my belly move in all directions. I don't think baby wants mommy to relax...either way, I definitely get a 'kick' out of it!! Hee hee....

Getting into Trouble

Brody loves getting into trouble...and you know when it's quiet all of a sudden, trouble is brewing wherever he is....

BUSTED!!

Nothing a smile can't fix, right?

Helping Mommy

One of Brody's favorite things to do is help mommy. So when I have a day off I love to do things that he can help with. A few weeks back we made rice crispy squares together. He loved helping out and the treat in the end was well worth the wait (for both of us)! I am really trying to enjoy these moments with my little guy, because soon he will have to share his mommy with another precious little one....

What's in a Name?

So we officially have about 15 1/2 weeks until baby is scheduled to arrive....We do not know what we are having and so we should be prepared for either a boy or a girl. Well, if baby turns out to be a boy (which is my own "gut" feeling) he is thusfar 'nameless'. Scott and I seriously cannot think of a boy's name that we both like. Scott of course always reverts back to the infamous Shamus, upon which my reply always remains NO!, no offense... Now I am really starting to worry that we will not be able to find a name for a boy...then what?? I have searched through books, magazines and the internet, we are looking for something strong, masculine and original. Anyone want to give us some ideas???

Mexico!!

Brody's first trip to Mexico...and he had the time of his life! He was definitely the kid of the resort, just about everyone there knew his name by the end of the week! He loved to dance to all the music, by the end of the week he was running in the sand, and the ocean was captivating, although a bit scary for him. He had lots of fun with Oma and Opa and so did we!! Besides all of us (except for Oma) getting sick with a 24 hour flu, we all had a great time. Until the next time....

Brody's First Haircut

Brody had his first haircut yesterday, just in time to go to Mexico tomorrow!! He was super good. He never cried at all, although he was a bit serious as you can see. Now he definitely looks more like a little boy, no more baby mullet!!

Christmas 2007

Christmas was fun this year. Brody was definitely more into it now that he is a bit older. Although he was more excited about wrapping paper than most of his gifts!
Brody and Taylor exchanged gifts a couple days before Christmas Day.
Brody had lots of fun Christmas day opening presents, playing with his new toys and hanging out with Mommy, Daddy, Oma and Opa. Max had to get in on some of the action too!!

A sibling for Brody...

Yes, we are expecting again!! We didn't waste any time...we wanted our children to be close in age. Which is exactly what we got, since they will only be a mere 19 months apart! We are SUPER excited. We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our newest little addition. Baby is due on June 14. And No, we will NOT be finding out the sex...sorry everyone....it will remain a secret just like Brody! SO...what do you think...boy or girl??
